Which bays or processes must stay open through the repair?
Water over a loading lane presents a different problem from water over stored goods. Mark the affected bay on a floor plan and identify what has to keep moving during the work.
02 Before the visit
What to bring.
- A roof or floor plan with dates, leak locations, and prior repairs marked.
- The lease section identifying who controls roof work, plus any insurer requirements.
- Actual stock damage and relocation invoices, with shift and delivery schedules.
Who to include
Include the facilities lead, property manager, and owner. Confirm who can authorize work if the tenant reported the leak.
Work window
Map staging and delivery lanes. Identify sensitive stock, ventilation intakes, and processes that cannot be interrupted.
